EXPLANATiONS
The Ivory Monarch;; The most powerful mare of the herd. She is your ruler, your queen, you god. Her word is law and what she says goes. She is the only one that may break any of her own laws. Touch her or her family or anything that belongs to her and you will have a war on your hands. xxxxxxxxxxxHer Established Contessa;; The queen's trusted adviser. She is the one mare responsible for the queen's safety and trust. She must protect the queen at all times and must make sure that the queen is happy. If the queen dies or is captured, the adviser is responsible and she is likely to be killed by the king or the queen's personal gang.
The Onyx Caliph;; The queen's king, her mate and lover. He is her equal and what he says goes. He is property of the queen and if you touch one single hair on him, you'll be killed by the merciless queen. He is not as powerful as the queen but he is still equal to her so he gets equal power so everyone within the heard must listen to him, even the queen. xxxxxxxxxxx His Devoted Cavalier;; The king's trusted adviser. He is the one stallion that is held responsible for the king's safety and trust. He must protect the king at all times and be the kings best friend. He must make sure that the king is happy no matter what and if something happens to the king, the adviser is responsible and he will probably be killed by the queen or anyone within the herd.
The Paramount Heir;; The heir to the herd and the king and queen's first born son. He is to take over the herd if his first born sister doesn't want to take the throne. When he takes the throne, everyone that is under his command when the herd changes rulers will be his loyal gang, his own personal army. xxxxxxxxxxx His Spicy Courtesan;; The heir's main lady. She is his mate and his princess and so whatever she says goes. She is the only mare for the prince and she is going to be his queen if he becomes the king.
The Infamous Heiress;; The heiress to the herd and the king and queen's first born daughter. She is the one that gets to rule the herd before the heir because it's always ladies first and her mother, the queen, believes that mares make better rulers than stallions. xxxxxxxxxxx Her Arousing Duke;; The heiress' prince. He is her mate and lover and whatever he says goes. He is the only stallion for the princess and when she becomes queen, he will become her king.
Their Selected Few;; The other children of the king and queen. They do not have to be out of either the king or queen but they have to be related or favored by one of the royals to be allowed to be a royal child. They doesn't have very much power but they are to be respected.
The Sagacious Syndicates;; The army of Exóticas Hermosa. They are the protectors of this whole herd and if a war or battle breaks out, they will be the first ones in it besides the queen's gang. The only problem with this army is that they are not as important as the queen's gang.
The Azure Array;; The queen's trusted gang. They are the protectors of the royal family and they are the ones that do the queen's bidding for her. If she wants someone killed, she will send a member of her gang after them. This gang is the queen's greatest pride and joy after her family and she will stop at nothing if one of them is killed. Be very respectful of these very important members, they are watching, observing, and reporting you to the queen.
Her Frisky Affairs;; The queen's stallions. They are her boy toys and she usually finds them rather amusing if the king is away from home or his her mate isn't around. She doesn't usually breed with any of them, she thinks that her blood is too precious to be mixed with the boy toys because of how similar they are to the king's whores.
His Enticing Harlots;; The king's mares. They are his whores and they only satisfy him if his queen is away from home or if his mate isn't around. They can be very desperate to breed so they usually pick up the common stallions and this always gets the king so mad that he either makes them slaves or he just kills them.
The Ardent Matrons;; The common mares of the herd. They can only breed with the common stallions unless they are a mate to someone higher than them. If they are the mate to someone in the army or in the queen's gang, they will have that stallion's name next to their name.
The Secure Aristocrats;; The common stallions in the herd. They can only breed to the common mares unless they are the mate of someone higher in the herd than they are. If they are the mate of someone higher than them in the herd then they will have the mare's name next their name.
Their Celestial Lambs;; The common foals of the herd. They are to be respected because the queen feels like the foals are the future of the herd. They are either the foals of the commoners, the slaves, the whores, or the soldiers.
The Banished Spirits;; The banished from the herd. If anyone sees them anywhere near the herd's borders, you must kill them or turn them in. You will get a reward if you happen to find one and turn them in.
The Kingdom's Rivals;; The herds in any alliance that are rivals to the kingdom of Exóticas Hermosa. There will probably be a large war involving Exóticas Hermosa and it's rivals.
The Kingdom's Allies;; The herds that the kingdom of Exóticas Hermosa have made an alliance with. If the herd is in trouble, the queen will call on her allies and they will rush in to help out.
The Fallen Ones;; The dead or fallen ones of the herd. They are to be respected at all costs because you never know if a lost one is the queen's old lover or one of the queen's old children that died. Pay your respects every time you walk by the burial grounds.

wip battle postx3 « Result #3 on Dec 13, 2009, 11:51pm »
Many large obscured blocks of ice dotted the ocean, which lined the North side of the Cimoron Peninsula. The sand of the beach was now dark and cold, filled with tiny frozen granulated daggers, that ached to slice tender equine flesh. The sky loomed over the beach like an over protective parent was streaked with hundreds of bloated clouds that seemed ready to burst at their seems. Within it all and very leggy stallion stood. His head was held high with a sense of full-proof security, his emerald shaded eyes flickering with hope and confidence in his newly devised plan. The horizon in the distance held another figure, this one was much more aged than him, what a true stallion should look like, Medallion. A soft grinding noise began to fill the silence between the young and the old, with each passing second the level of noise rose. The young one was clenching his teeth, grating them together in annoyance and confusion. A once stern face had changed, and soon he became over whelmed with the thoughts of his father.
Why? Why would father do this? Didn't he know that his son would challenge if the throne wasn't given to him? He was Jacklash's blood. His blood. He just needed to keep thinking win, fight, win, fight. He would pull through. Like most troubling times, doubt filled his mind, extinguishing his wildfire like confidence. What if he wouldn't? The alliance wouldn't be what it was supposed to be. No longer would it be pristine. Some old alliance-jumping hag was ruling, Someone Jacklash trusted more than his own son. If he lost, they wouldn't have a chance. To him they'd be nothing more than a slave. He couldn't let that happen since failure wasn't an option, just a slim possibility. Whiplash turned his visage towards the ground, emerald orbs squinting in vain at the musty earth.
"Jacklash, father, if I may. Did you really think you were fit for the throne anymore than Medallion was? He's an old hag, and he switches alliances, wasn't it your rule to be light born? And you killed yourself over a woman, that shows no strength at all, weakness, love is weak. Yes if you wanted to know I have a whore, but that is surely not for love, it is to help me be powerful. Father, why did you do the things you did? You left mother and I out in the dust while you were off with your bride and for what? Did you want to live the perfect life with her and your daughter? Nothing in life is perfect, father. I've learned that the hard way and I guess you did too"
The words slipped out before Whiplash could stop them and he felt relief after he finished speaking to his lifeless father. Maybe Whiplash had it all wrong. Maybe Jacklash was doing this to help his son instead of torturing him but why would he do that? Was he ashamed of his young boy?
Truth be told, Whiplash may not have known any better himself. He didn't know what he would do if he was crowned king. He hadn't any passing thought of what to do, or how to go about it. It was just the thought of power belonging to him. The thought that the lights would have to stand up and become something, rather than floating in water like worthless leaves. Thoughts of power made him even more power-hungry. It made him happy to think of power. It made his body tremble with each and every thought. His intentions as a king were definitely not ill intended though. But underneath the fret to have power did he really think this way of his father? Did he really think that Medallion shouldn't be king, well... partially yes he did.
"Medallion... Last words?"
Whiplash let a few short agonizing moments pass before shaking his dipped visage in a slight bit of annoyance and fury. His forelimbs left the ground, flinging the granulated daggers into the air. Marbled bronze flanks threw themselves, neck muscles clinched tight, pulling his visage closer to his body for protection as his thin body stormed its way through the meter distance between the two figures. Each time his hooves hit the ground, the sand spurred towards his face. The tiny granulates cut at his ankles and knees, the frost in the air pinching his lungs with each breath, but still he kept his body at full force and function toward the old stallion. Each second passing, his heart raced until the moment came where there was inches of separation between the two.
As if island was watching the battle with baited breath, the snow hit, and harder than his heart would've expected. The flurries fluttered in weak and strong bursts. Emerald orbs peered through the white film. His body slid past his opposing contender. The muscles of his lanky neck released allowing his visage to whip forward and down towards what would seem the ground, but his neck stretched. Buds fell down to the back of his skull locking them in place for safety. Lips spread open as his jaw unclenched allowing his teeth to be ready for contact. The incisors were aimed for his back leg, aimed for the superficial digital flexor tendon and deep tendon. What would be the equivalent of an Achilles tendon on any normal being. Whether his teeth who make contact to his area was anything but a gamble. The young one had closed his eyes moments before any contact was made, maybe one of the first mistakes he could have made, but he did it. After the tried attack he let the moment sink in, and allowed the cold air to pinch his lungs once more. Beneath his tongue, a barely audible whisper escaped.

foal statters
Foal statters are not staff, they merely pass out the stats of foals. You can ask to be a foal statter, but do not be offended if you get declined. Each NORMAL member is allowed to do ONE foal stat PER SEASON, but either parents may not belong to you.
horse's appearances
Horses must be impure! this means they CANNOT be purebred! Horse heights must be within breed characterisitcs. For example: There is no such thing as a 17hh Mustang! Also, you cannot have a 15.8hh horse! HH goes up to .3 therefor 15.8 would equal 17.2hh Please, do not make your horses perfect! It's quite annoying to have the perfect horse. And being realistic, there is no such thing as a perfect horse. Horses age every Autumn or Spring season, depending on when they were born. Only horses born on the site may have odd colors/markings
claiming mares && territories
Only stallions can claim mares. Stallions without land can only claim up to 2 mares. Betas and regular stallions must have permission from their herd leader before claiming mares, and must ask for their limit. Stallions must be atleast 3 to claim mares, mares must be atleast 4 to be claimed. Territories can be claimed by only Stallions over the age of 3 Only one terra for each stally. Make sure you post you're herds stats in the Herd Log, and update it whenever necessary.
fighting
Stallions fight for mares, lands, and rankings. Mares fight for rankings and foals. Fighting must be rped out, and must be posted at Honolulu, Hawaii. Challenges must be posted on your opponents lands with terms. You do not have to post at Honolulu, Hawaii till your opponent accepts the terms stated. You have 7 days to accept if you're fighting for a land, 5 for a ranking, 4 for a mare, 2 for a foal. The third part of the pass is do. If you do not reply in the time stated, you lose. You cannot challenge someone who is away. If you refuse a challenge, you lose. You cannot challenge someone until 2 weeks after their last battle. Queen challenges must be approved by the King first. Any lead mare and beta challenges must be approved by the lead stallion. Fights are juged by three staff members, majority vote wins. NO power playing or god moding what so ever! An example of Power playing is : I looked the challenger in the eye, kicked him in the head, bit his ear off and he died. Speaking of dieing..a horse cannot die unless the player says its ok. this should be settled BEFORE the fight.
royals
Anyone can challenge a royal for a position Winner of royal challenge gets 6 weeks of rest
breeding && foaling
Breeding is to be done in Paris, France Mares can be raped. Breeding is to take place Summer and Winter. Foaling is to take place Autumn and Spring. Foaling is done in Mission, Texas Stats of BOTH parents MUST be present on the thread A staff member will reply with your foals stats. Foals age a year every week. After 3 weeks they age every Autumn or Spring (depending on when they were born). The parents must post their foaling thread, or they will not receive a foal. Feel free to bump, I don't care but it doesn't mean your foal will get done any faster. Request twins, but it doesn't mean you'll get any.

During the creation of the Winds, only 2 horses are known to have called for a meeting for such a discussion. Now the story is told of Ora and Ika creating the winds, and nobody has heard the story of the third horse that was there. Nym, none other than the South Wind Queen herself, was the third to call the meeting and create the winds.
Woah woah wait. Too much for you?
Nym is 170 years old. She looks pretty good doesn't she? Course she does. In this lifetime she's only 5 years old. Confused? Sit tight cause here's the newest plot that's in discussion and that the members have almost complete control of.
All the Royal Herds are given a task by the Gods. Every equine and other living being in that herd has to accomplish this goal before passing on. Otherwise, they get reborn. When you are reborn you look the same, and have all the knowledge you previously had. You're just starting life over. These tasks are often hard to complete, and as you're high up in ranks you're task gets harder. The Gods did this because they felt that previous Royals did nothing but use their label against their followers in the previous years. Nym was originally born at the time of the War of the Alliances and was around the age of four (she's not quite sure of this) when the meeting was called. She can't remember why she was there or why she was special. Ika and Ora held some sort of great relation (not blood) to her or were in her debt somehow. Anyways, Nym was a very important mare of her time. When the Winds were created, Nym was given a Royal position. And because of this, she was give a task. She had decided to put the task off until she had reached her prime and had gotten the Winds more stable. During that year she had fallen in love with a handsome stallion against the will of many others. Nym doesn't speak of what happened to the stallion, and Sarabi barely knows herself. During this love, the stallion had basically took over every aspect of her life, and she forgot her task. Upon the stallion's disappearing, Nym committed suicide at the age of 20. Not having been able to remember, she has been reborn about 7 times now, each time dieing around the age of 20 for you die the same day and same time you died in your first life, although you may die in a different way.
Wait, did you say Sarabi !?
It explains a lot with Sarabi, doesn't it. Yes yes, Sarabi has been foolish enough to not complete her task, although her circumstances are very much different. Sarabi is around 130 years old. Ora, wanting an heir very much like herself, bred her descendants at a young age until one came along. Although looking almost the opposite, Sarabi's attitude seemed to fit the bill and she became Ora's heir. Because of this, the Gods gave Sarabi a task as well. Living forever and never dieing seemed to be great to Sarabi, and so she deliberately did not preform her task. To this day she still remembers her task perfectly, even though she tries very hard to forget it. Sarabi is on her 6th try at a perfect life, and met Nym on her 1st life and on Nym's end of her 2nd life. At first disliking each other, the almost 2 centuries as seemed to brought them together a little bit more. But isn't Sarabi older than Nym? Well in this life, yes. Sarabi is at the ripe age of 7. Sarabi seemed to take a shortcut in her last life and avoided the whole dieing at the same age and same day/time rule in her previous life and died at the age of 20 during a series of rebellious outbreaks and civil wars. Plus, its not like they died at the same time. They met when Nym was 20 and Sarabi was a young flicka.
So why no royals?
All the other royals have completed their tasks during the civil wars except for Nym and Sarabi. Your task never changes between lives. Because of this, and the death of the Royals family members, there are many open Royal positions. To tell you the truth, all the other recent royals died during the civil wars along with their families and completed their tasks early into their 2nd lives.
This tradition carries on with the new royals that are stepping forth. Sarabi still likes the idea of never dieing, and Nym just wants darkness to overcome her completely and to pass on and never return to her single formed body.
Tell us what you think here. You guys can edit this almost any way you want, just let us know what you want. This is kinda at the rough draft stage (:

History « Result #9 on Mar 4, 2008, 5:09pm »
Time has gone on since man has left the land we call earth, the continents have merged created another Pangaea, but according to us we'd like to call it The Equinox. It is our revelation, and we have chosen to take the place of man, hooves over feet. The streets are cracked and the buildings crumbling with the remembrance of age, the wilderness leaking its way in the hierarchy of the sky scrappers. We ourselves have no alliances, only colonies formed like large kingdoms, our lands are split by the winds, and our hearts are hunted by all the beasts.
part I : the tale
My name is Sarabi, I'm a Mustang x Astrologia cross of the Corner Band, and I also reside as it's Queen. The tale of the Equinox is an ancient tale that has been passed down the generations. The original story was told by my great great grandmother, Ora, who had witnessed it herself. Through all that was happening, no body could predict another Pangaea, which is now known as The Equinox. The last Pangaea happened millions of years ago, when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. It is known as a super continent. Simply put, it is a large mass of land that is created when all continents of the Earth form together. This leaves just two oceans, and one continent. It's a different world from what it used to be. A horse's life has become longer, and more prosperous without man running about trying to capture or kill us. Our culture has changed as well. No longer are we labeled by our alliance. The alliances are long dead, which creates less wars between the new labels called Winds. Winds are divided by location. Where you come from labels you, as well as your breed and your attitude. How did this all start? Well as Ora had told it, it all started with the end of the alliances.
part II : the war of the alliances
Everyone knows of the everlasting war between the Lights and the Darks. The Neutrals have been said to be stuck in the middle between all this. A great war had broken out. All over the world, Darks and Lights were in war. The Neutrals were asked to chose a side, many sided with the lights, the others (less than half of the Neutral population) sided with the darks. This differences with the Neutrals had created two more alliances, the Fates and the Winds. The Winds were on the Light's side, while the Fate's sided with the darks. The Lights were led by a Hanoverian Stallion called Rojo. Rojo was a stallion of wisdom and strength, but his lack of leadership didn't do the Lights too well, and the Generals ended up having to make all the moves for the Lights. The Darks were led by a Mustang Mare called Ora, yes the very same Ora that runs in my blood. She was a strong mare, very much like the Wind's, in fact the Wind's leader was taught Ora's ways at a young age. She was cunning and although small was very sturdy. She had to be one of the best leaders of the war, a terrible backstabbing led to the Dark's loss in the favor of the Wind's. The Fate's were led by a Latvian Stallion called Kazakh whose blood runs heavily on the Equinox. He was a heavier stallion with just brute force, and little agility. Although he was very original with his tactics and great endurance. Wind's were led by a Astrologia Mare called Ika. She was a random mare with outstanding talent and found herself leading the neutrals into the break and ended up leading the Wind's into the war. She fit the Wind's description perfectly and was the wisest of them all. She was taught by Ora, and therefor spared Ora's life and allowed her to rule below her after the war. She was an amazing mare, everyone agreed. Her blood runs inside of me as well. After the war was over, the rest of the population sided with the Winds. This destroyed alliances altogether. Their calm, peaceful style of the lights meshed perfectly with the Dark's hardcore attitude. They were not like the old neutrals, but more so influenced by the culture of the Lights and the Darks. The Fates were all killed late into the war, along with most of the Lights and half of the Darks. The Winds, only suffered a 1/4 loss in the war. Their culture seemed to open their eyes to new wisdom the others had been too blind to see. The Winds seemed to become apart of nature. They could disappear in the middle of a field, and blend in with any environment. They were fast and agile, with strength of a draft horse. They could run for miles and miles on mud and not leave a single track or a scent. They were the most skilled of all the equines. It goes along with natural selection, the ones with the more favorable traits survive.
part II : the winds With the extinction of the alliances, The Winds was less of an alliance but still followed along the same lines. The Winds was just a label for horses, and the only label out there, for quite some time. After some time, different characteristics began to tear apart the winds. People began to dislike the way you looked and where you came from. Your attitude was just the last straw. Ika knew the Winds were falling apart. Seeing a civil war in the near future, she divided the winds on location and the types of horses that lived there. Before she gave these new divisions, large herds of horses stuck to one location and shared the common characteristics. This realization helped Ika divide the Winds. In the end, the Winds were divided into 5 different types of Winds and 1 band. The North, South, East, West, and Northeast Winds were created, as well as the Corner Band, my own Wind.
part III : the north wind The band has been extinct for many years, left over horses still pledge themselves to these winds, but their lands are gone, merged with the Northeast.
The North Wind has always been located in snowy places. For example, they are located on what would be Greenland, Iceland, Alaska, and Canada. Because of this, the North Wind is a very sturdy and similar to draft breed. They are also the most divided of the Winds. They are spread out all over the Equinox, staying only in the snowy regions. No one can tell why they preferred this, or maybe they once knew and it was lost in the generations somewhere. These horses tend to be breeds like Icelandic, Frederiksborg, and Suffolk Punch. These horses range in size and are all thick coated. Because of their location, food is harder to find so they will venture into other Wind's territories to scavenge for food. They are the wisest of the Winds and also the most peaceful. They are kind people with open arms to anyone and are the closest to the old Light alliance for their kind hearted nature. Much of Kazakh's blood runs inside these horses, but luckily not his temperament. These horses are the least to participate in wars and are also the least to get called into one. But for their often laziness, they are not well liked. Alliances: Northeast Wind, South Wind Enemies: Western Wind, Corner Band
part IV : the south wind lights
South Wind horses were once the most populated of the Winds. They have always been located in what would be Africa. These horses are of lighter breeds and have the most endurance and adaptability of the Winds due to the region's different terrains. They live in anything from deserts to forests and are one of the more diverse of the Winds. Horses here usually consist of breeds like any kind of Arabians, Criollo, and Akhal Teke. Because of their exposure to sunlight, these horses are rarely of dark colors like Black or dark bay. Most of them are duns, chestnuts, and bays. These horses are never seen in white either (although they can be grey), and if they are they live short lives and are very common to die of cancer. These horses are not known to be the nicest of the groups. They tend to be spoiled and snobbish and too proud of themselves. But they are also a very giving group, and one with many alliances. They are smart and quick on their feet and with outstanding endurance. The South Wind is also one of the quietest of the Winds. They are well known to stay in their own business and not start too much trouble. They are very loyal to their leader and each other and are the least well known for their betrayals. Over they ages some of them have slowly changed over from being less snobby and a bit more generous, but still remain very futile and rude to those they do not trust. Alliances: Corner Band, North Wind, Western Wind Enemies: Northeast Wind
part VI : the west wind The wind was pushed aside and taken over by the Northeast wind, no longer does it exist, horses left over from the alliance still roam.
The West Wind has been a ever expanding Wind. Once in the Southern part of North America and Australia, they have worked their way over to the western parts of North America. Still many remain in what was what Australia and the islands that has surrounded it. They consist of big horses that go from 15hh-19hh. And they can consist of any large, fast breed like Thoroughbreds, Hanoverian, and Oldenburghs. As you can tell, it is mainly a sport horse breed, but there are exceptions. These horses are the closest to the old Dark alliance, with the Corner Band right behind them. They tend to be mean spirited and head strong. But this is one of the most powerful groups on The Equinox, and are the fastest of them all. Although of somewhat Dark nature, these horses are very heavily related to Rojo. Because of this heavy relation, many of them resemble Rojo's chestnut color. But they can also be seen in bays and blacks, but never lighter colors than chestnut. Being the meanest of the Winds, they are not well liked at all and often have the most enemies. Alliances: Northeast Wind, North Wind Enemies: East Wind, South Wind, Corner Band
part VII : the northeast wind loners
The Northeast Wind originally was settled on Japan, but soon spread out onto most of Asia and Europe. They have the biggest territory and are also the most diverse in their culture, and breeds. These horses can be anything from Friesian to Morgans to Camargue. They range in size and color and almost everything else. These horses are the strongest and most powerful of the Winds and tend to be one of the sturdier Winds as well. They have been the dominant wind for quite some time, but now have leveled out with the other Winds. These horses can be kind and caring or head strong and pushy. They are great leaders but awful followers and often rather think for themselves. They are the most independent from their rulers and leads and also the most outgoing and outspoken. They've always been a force to be reckoned with, but have a high betrayal rate and have to be the least loyal of the winds. Even still, they will always be one of the top Winds to deal with. Alliances: Corner Band, Western Wind Enemies: South Wind, North Wind
part VIII : the corner band east wind, darks
The Corner Band is the newest of the Winds. It is settled on all of what was South America. The Corner Band are one of the most diverse in their breeds, right below the Northeast Wind. Breeds can include anything like Paints, Orlov Trotter, and Welsh Cobs. Ponies, feral breeds, and sturdy horse breeds like the Shetland, Brumby, and the Mustang, are now also accepted into the Corner Band. Mainly any light breed, pony breed, and sturdy or feral breed is included here, including some that are also allowed in other winds. Sport horses may also be found here. Such as QHs, for they can also be considered a "sturdy" breed. These horses are the closest thing to the original Wind alliance, for having not changed much of the culture (unlike the others). These horses are the most cunning of the Winds and are outstanding in many fields. Just like the original Winds, they can hide in any terrain and can leave no trace of where they've been. The only difference from the original Wind is that they have stepped away from the Light perspective, and have taken on a more dark attitude. They are commonly known to be stubborn, strong headed, rude, and mean spirited, and often enjoy getting into other's business. They're personality is what a dark's would be. They aren't as evil as the Western Winds are, but are pretty close to it. They hold a very strong bond with the Northeast Wind, and are also one of the strongest Winds to deal with. part IX : life today
Generations have gone by without wars. There have been disputes, of course, between the Winds but nothing more. Winds have been unstable since they have been created and are just really settling in. Alliances and enemies are changing almost seasonly, the the Winds have finally become happy with their land. Many Winds have been leaderless for generations, but now that is all changing. Each Wind needs two leaders, a king and a queen, just like how it used to be with the alliances. Currently, most Winds need both except the South Wind and the Corner Band.
Things are peaceful and quiet as of now, and many are just waiting for newcomers to join the Winds, and for leaders to step up and take their throne.
