Like most of the African towns littering the land, the once capital of a country called South Africa one had been in bad shape to begin with, and so it just simply fell into ruins. The buildings are reduced to piles of rubble dotting the cracked streets, letting the metal supports bare all to the hot African sun. Savannah grass has taken back the land, and the manmade heaps of mine-dump have slowly been flattened under the heavy footprint of time. The only structure still standing is the two once famous water towers. They used to be adorned with paintings of the old traditional culture, but that has faded away until both marvels are coated in a chocolate brown. Acia Thorn trees have woven their way across this dry city, under elevated highways and into train stations, sticking their beautiful long, ivory thorns high into a azure sky. Lions, rhinos, Elephants and numerous other animals now call this city home, patrolling its borders and keeping it alive, even if its original owners are dead. This place is not for the faint of hearted equine, for not only is the climate unbearably hot and dry, the local predators make do with whatever prey they come across. And yet still the equines push the boundaries, coming back to this place for thrills and to make a living amongst the trash, rubble and splendour.
